Chapter 1: The Intro

A slim-trim figure with tanned skin in high fashion clothes emerged from the front corridor. Her curly hair, innocent looking face, big eyes were soul capturing. As she walked down the apartment floor in her high heels looking for the 'Room 5B', the clicking of her heels was turning everybody's head towards her direction.

"Who is she?",  "Some kind of model?", a group of girl staring from the distance were kidding to themselves.

"Jealous aren't you?", an over-weighted girl with messy hair and loose-fitted clothes overheard them and said jokingly.

"Oh please! We were just kidding.", said one of the girl from the group.

The girls were being nice to each other as it was only the first day on the campus and no one wanted to tag themselves with the b*tchy title. But groups were forming gradually and girls were gossiping already! What else would you expect from girls? Though you wouldn't disagree with them, she did look like a model! But who was she?!

Tall and thin, glowing skin, her collar bones visible making her neck look slender like that of a swan. Her sweet smile appearing on her face whenever someone walked up to her for some chat but fading away as soon as they left. She was allotted one of the room that were reserved only for the toppers. A beauty with brain in true sense. That messy haired girl was among those toppers too and so she approached her finally for an introduction.

"Hi there, what's your name?", the girl with the messy hair asked her.

"My name is Lily", she replied gently in a very soft spoken voice.

"Sorry, didn't get you. Pardon.", the girl asked her again.

"Lily it is", she replied in even more soft tone. Almost felt like as if she whispered.

"OhhKay.. Nice.", the girl pretended as if she got her name this time and continued to introduce herself; "My name is Amber. My room is next to yours. Looks like we gonna be in the same apartment. Met your roomie yet?".

"Roomie? No. Not yet!", Lily said.

"Oh you gonna love her. She's very "bubbly" and "friendly". I've met her already.", Amber said this while raising her eyebrows and smiling mildly.

"What? What's that about? Why are you smiling?" asked Lily anxiously.

"Oh no! Nothing. You will see for yourself how "friendly" she is." Amber trying to spell it out for her without disclosing much, meanwhile thinking deep down what to say next! Social interaction always make Amber a bit nervous especially when someone is so charming as Lily. Surprisingly, Lily's personality was very comforting, furthermore her soft voice was only only putting Amber to an ease. She didn't felt like opening up to anyone else so far on campus and so she thought to herself that maybe she's the one to befriend!

Both of them chatted for a while waiting for her roomie to arrive. Amber was the one bringing up random topics most of the time to keep the conversation alive. It took some time for Lily to open up, afterall she was a girl of few words but she did open up eventually. 

"You must have to unpack and take some rest. I should leave. Your roomie will be here anytime soon. See you in awhile!", Amber left the room closing the door behind.

Now Lily was all alone by herself in that room. It felt weird to her. It was her first time being this far away from her home but so was other's. Everybody's parents accompanied their daughters on their first day but her's didn't. Lily was accompanied by her driver who helped her carry the lauggage around. She was there all by herself; her mom couldn't make it that day because of the work. Lily watched other's parents hugging their daughters, saying goodbyes. Someone's mother was even sobbing for her daughter, this only made Lily more depressed. But she was used to this feeling now, of being sad and alone. What she wasn't used to was the roomie, the idea of sharing her space with someone else was only freaking Lily out.

"Heya!!!! You must be Lily!", a girl with specs on entered the room, "I'm Ashley but you call me just Ash, I'm your roomie!! Looks like your parents already left?!"

"Oh yea.. nice to meet you.", said Lily avoiding to answer about her parents.

Ashley was way too loud for a girl with specs on, no wonder she's one of the topper. Her extroverted personality was making Lily sick to her stomach even more but she held herself together.

"Let me introduce you to others around! Also we have to gather in the hall in a minute for a meeting with the staff." Ashley said as she grabbed Lily's hand and directed her out of the room.

Lily wasn't expecting this much friendliness from someone too soon. Amber too came out of her room upon hearing Ashley's loud voice and saw Lily's face which was loosing all it's color by then.

"Oh hey Amber!! I was coming to you. Join us on this "journey"!!! Let's get to know more new girls on the floor and explore a bit around!!!", Ashley said with a wide smile on her face. And so Amber followed them both.

"Okay so this is what you meant!" Lily whispered to Amber.

"Yeah", Amber hiding away her face and feeling sorry for Lily and what she got to deal with.

The trio visited each and every room on the floor. Ashley always being the first one to introduce herself, looks like she was happy to begin this hostel life. Indeed she was happy, she came from a very conservative family and this was her chance to explore and have fun.

By the end of their "journey" they were joined by other girls as well and so all of them decided to go to the ground floor and check out the mess, gym, stationary, TV room, garden and other college buildings around. After checking all what their hostel's cool places it was time to check out the college campus. Upon reaching the hostel main gate they got stopped by the guard and who told them that timings to visit outside were over. All girls sadly turned away and sat in the garden area for chit-chat. They looked around and noticed that few evening classes were still going on in some college buildings as guys from those rooms were staring at their group. Girls too were joking among themselves of being such a distraction for those guys who had to "study" with a girl's hostel next to them and work their asses out till the end just so they can settle down.

Lily waved at the guy suddenly and gave him a flying kiss! "How about it now? Will this be enough to distract him?, Lily said while smiling at the guy. The guy smiled back and turned to his friends and pointed at them. Amber was stunned by Lily's move so were others, some even ran back into the hostel fearing of getting reported but Lily laughed out loud at that. That guy still smiling, probably feeling lucky.

"Those guys be always looking for fun in college, so just chill.", Lily said.

"Hurry up inside girls, meeting with the staff is going to start soon.", one senior hostel girl told the group.

So they all hurried back inside, but were still laughing about that incident. Everyone was still hyping about the incident. Lily was becoming the star for most of them, doing things that they won't even imagine to do. But Lily shrugged it off and told others not to hype about it more. Amber was now even more willing to befriend her and so were others.

"She's smart, good looking, outgoing; college life will be fun with her and also she knows how to play with those guys for sure!", Amber thought to herself.

But Lily was totally a different person deep down. Her soft spoken voice felt like a cold blowing breeze to most of them but her moves were bold enough to make anyone loose their sh*t. Her eyes told a whole different story. A story she tried to share once with her childhood best friend but she moved away too soon. But will she share it this time?
